This can be seen in her choices of motives, symbols, and colors. The intentional and sensitive uses of colors carry meanings which belongs to fantasies and feelings in the artist`s own life. The inspiration primarily grows out of daily life experiences, landscapes, masks and symbols. The richness of her cultural luggage connects also to her paintings based on biblical narratives which can be counted as a major force of inspiration in Kavena`s art work.
